FUN RUN Highlights - 4th & 5th Grades!

After completing End-of-Grade testing, students at Manteo Elementary School enjoyed an afternoon of fun to celebrate a year of hard work and academic growth. The Color Fun Run was part of the school's PBIS program, recognizing and rewarding students for demonstrating positive behavior throughout the year.

It was a wonderful day to celebrate the kindness, respect, and responsibility our students show each day while creating lasting memories as the school year comes to a close.

🚧 Kitty Hawk Elementary School Playground Closed for Renovations Beginning June 5 🚧

Beginning June 5, the Kitty Hawk Elementary School playground will be closed to the public as construction begins on Everyone’s Playground.

Everyone’s Playground will be a fully accessible, inclusive playground designed for individuals of all abilities, creating a space where everyone can play, explore and connect at Kitty Hawk Elementary School.

This exciting project is the result of a community-wide effort made possible through the vision and support of numerous individuals, businesses, and community organizations, along with Everyone's Outer Banks, Inc. and Dare County Schools.

On Day 3 of our Countdown to Commencement series, we're celebrating a historic achievement by the Class of 2026! This year's graduating class set a new district record for the most students to earn an associate degree or workforce credential from College of the Albemarle before receiving their high school diploma.
