Brantley County will open proposals for the Hazard Mitigation Plan update on Tuesday, August 25 at 2:00 PM in the Commissioner's Meeting Room, 33 Allen Road, Nahunta.
This meeting is open to the public.

The Commissioners will vote on the proposal on 9/3/2026.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch specific to Brantley County until 10 PM EDT this evening. This means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop, so we're asking everyone to stay alert.

County offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.

SPECIAL PROPANE PRICING THIS WEEK

Conger Gas in Waycross is offering a $10 propane bottle fill special for all 20 lb. cylinders.

This special is available to the public and may be especially helpful for Brantley County residents impacted by the wildfires who need propane for campers or temporary housing.

Assessment notices for 2026 have been mailed. If you have not received yours, you can also access it online through Brantley County QPublic.
The deadline for appeals, Homestead Exemption sign-ups, CUVA, FLPA, and any questions concerning your assessment is August 6, 2026.
