Pole inspections begin today in northern Glynn County. OREMC has contracted with Osmose Utilities Services to conduct the inspection of 7,000 - 8,000 poles across the service area denoted on the map. All vehicles will be marked as a contractor of OREMC, but expect to see individuals walking from pole to pole along our power line rights of way. The inspections are expected to take a couple of months to complete, the purpose of which is to ensure the integrity of our distribution system.

OREMC currently has 946 members out in St. Marys that are powered by a circuit out of Point Peter. As part of our integrated transmission system, it is served by Georgia Power. They are aware of the outage and in route. Once they arrive and assess the situation we may be able to share more information.
