Nampa Environmental Compliance Environmental Compliance Division focuses on decreasing our stormwater pollution through following the Clean Water Act promoted by the (EPA).

Our goal is to encourage actions that decrease pollution and generate cleaner water for our community. When stormwater runoff collects and flows down drains, it will ultimately flow into our local waters. This can become a problem, as that stormwater collects pollution as it runs over soil and pavement. This pollution can come from litter, oil, gas, soap or fertilizers. And all those things can co

ntaminate our local water! Polluted stormwater can significantly affect public health, harm fish and wildlife, kill native vegetation, and make Nampa's waterways unsafe for swimming or fishing. Help our community by limiting pollutants in our local waters!
