Join Us for the 15th Annual Stormwater Clean-Up Day!

The City of Nampa’s Environmental Resources team invites community members to roll up their sleeves and make a difference during the 15th Annual Stormwater Clean-Up Day on Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Volunteers will meet at East Side Park, located at 430 21st Avenue South, at 9 a.m. The day will kick off with pastries and coffee, followed by a brief discussion on effective ways to keep our waterways clean and information on Nampa’s stormwater system.

Participants will help beautify Nampa by cleaning storm drains, picking up litter in the park and adjacent neighborhoods, and marking storm drains with decals to promote awareness about keeping our storm drains free of debris. The event will conclude with a complimentary lunch.

The City of Nampa welcomes volunteers and teams of all ages to participate in this important community effort. All necessary materials for the cleanup will be provided by the Environmental Resources Division. Parking is limited near East Side Park – carpooling is encouraged.

To volunteer, please register by Monday, September 28 at nampa.info/stormwaterday.

For more information, visit cityofnampa.us/stormwater. If you have additional questions, please contact Environmental Resources at (208) 468-5476 or [email protected].

An update from the Idaho Transportation Department regarding the signal installation at 12th Ave Rd and Locust Ln. For more information, contact ITD at (208) 334-8300.

We understand the community’s frustration with the unfinished work at Locust Lane and SH-45.

ITD’s project has been temporarily halted for contractual reasons that we are addressing as we attempt to complete the work as quickly as possible. ITD must hire a new contractor but must do so following the mandatory bonding process, which ensures that Idaho taxpayers do not pay twice for the same work.

ITD is preparing a temporary solution that will enhance mobility of the roadway until a new contractor is hired and the project can be completed. We know the delay is disruptive, and we are sorry for the disruption. We will provide additional information as the path forward and schedule are confirmed.
