NVFD members had hazmat training tonight!

We went over air monitoring, decon, and proper procedures for Hazmat Incidents!

We want to thank Pulaski County Special Response Team for coming out and instructing/showing us their equipment!

NVFD was paged out to assist Faubush Tri-Co Volunteer Fire Dept. with a grass fire in the 6000 block of HWY 196.

NVFD Crews spent the evening completing our Annual Watermanship Test, and going over our Fireboat SOP’s and SOG’s.

This test is required for any Firefighter/Special Operations members who want to operate on our fireboat.

Along with all members passing this test, NVFD crews have completed a boaters safety course, and have been licensed!

Thank you to the Somerset Alumni Center for letting us use their facilities complete this test!

NVFD Crews responded to a reported structure fire in the Serenity Ct. Area of our district.

Upon arriving on scene, fire units reported smoke showing. Firefighters made entry into the residence to find the fire was mostly extinguished by the property owner.

Firefighters assisted on scene with salvage and overhaul, and soaking down hot-spots.
