The City of Nanticoke Community Development Department will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 5pm at the Nanticoke Municipal Building to discuss proposals for the 2026 CDBG Entitlement Grant. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and will be offered the opportunity to give suggestions on proposed activities, the prior use of CDBG funds, as well as the CDBG program.

Mayor and City Council would like to thank all of our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers and everyone that came out to support our BIG BANG 100th anniversary community event! We would not be able to do it without you! Despite the rain it was truly a spectacular event! Starting with our parade and ending with the Biggest Big Bang Show to date! Thank You!!!! All fireworks and supplies were funded exclusively through sponsor contributions.

It’s almost here!!! Big Bang tomorrow Saturday June 27! Parade starts at noon. Followed by a huge event at LCCC lower parking lot off Prospect Street. Lots of food trucks vendors and games. Lots of fun for everyone! Over 70 baskets to win at our raffle including a 75” TV and a portable smart TV. Come join the fun! Spectacular Fireworks Display at Dusk! Don’t miss it!

Please join us in the Annual Big Bang Celebration Celebrating 100 years as a City. Starting with a Parade at the High School and ending at LCCC Parking lot on the Prospect Street side.
