September is Su***de Prevention Month. It’s an important moment to talk about connection, being there for each other, and su***de prevention (even more than we usually do).

All month, we’ll be sharing posts about 988 and how to break the ice and keep the conversation going with the youth in your life. Thank you to our online community for helping spread the message.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! NCOE—in partnership with our neighboring Napa County school districts—encourages every student to "Start Strong. Show Up. Shine."

We believe that each student has the potential to excel, but success starts with being in the classroom. School attendance is a shared community effort, and we are calling on families, employers, and educators to work together to ensure students are present and ready to learn. Missing just ten percent of the school year—which breaks down to only two days each month—can make it significantly harder for students to keep up with lessons and stay on track for graduation.

For resources to help your student build great attendance habits visit napacoe.org/attendance.

Let’s work together to help every student SHINE this year! ✨
