the gift of supporting foster families and kids. The Association does family events and outings, including an annual birthday party in the Spring for all the foster kids. Each child receives a monogrammed towel, or duffel bag or bath robe. To that child, seeing their name on the item is stellar! They will say, ‘is this mine?’ And maybe for the first time they have something that cannot be removed. Something that is theirs. Trips and outings are for the growth and development of the kids, for example, our annual four day camping trip in the summer. They learn to pitch tents, sleep in the outdoors, and cook and eat their meals on a camp stove. These are life lessons and experiences that most kids in the foster care system have never experienced. Doris Gentry, founder 17 years ago, helps with Fund Raising. Won’t you make a difference in the lives of children and foster parents today?
