You’ll receive free training and be paid for your time if selected.
Requirements include being a registered voter in your county and willing/able to attend poll worker training.
Additionally, the state of WV has joined with 45 other states to allow high school juniors and seniors to participate in our democracy. Requirements are as follows.
To qualify, a student in West Virginia must:
•Meet the existing eligibility requirements (other than the voter registration requirement).
•Be a junior or senior in good standing.
•Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (for public or private school students).
•Obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
•Obtain written approval from the school principal if service occurs on a school day.
•Successfully complete the statutory election official training program.
