Maybe you’ve worked before, maybe not — either way, let us know

You’ll receive free training and be paid for your time if selected.

Requirements include being a registered voter in your county and willing/able to attend poll worker training.

Additionally, the state of WV has joined with 45 other states to allow high school juniors and seniors to participate in our democracy. Requirements are as follows.

To qualify, a student in West Virginia must:

•Meet the existing eligibility requirements (other than the voter registration requirement).
•Be a junior or senior in good standing.
•Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (for public or private school students).
•Obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
•Obtain written approval from the school principal if service occurs on a school day.
•Successfully complete the statutory election official training program.

Facts matter! TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) funds are TEMPORARY. They’re not long term solutions, time runs out for families who need help. Helping families who find themselves in a temporary situation where they need our help should be a bipartisan priority!

With the Boone County Commission and the WV Secretary of State signing off on the May 12, 2026 Primary Election results, the newly elected Democratic Executive Committee is planning an organizational meeting (per WV Code §3-1-9(g)).

The time and place of all public meetings of the Democratic Party, on all levels shall be publicized at least 30 days prior to the meeting, if nominations or elections for Party office and positions are taking place (By Laws of the Democratic Party of West Virginia, Article I, Section C). This announcement serves as this notice.

Therefore, the organizational meeting of the newly elected Democratic Executive Committee will take place on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 6:00PM at the Danville Community Center located at 731 Hopkins Avenue, Danville, WV 25053.

The regular monthly meetings of the Boone County Democratic Executive Committee will resume on July 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM, location to be announced soon.
