Our Mini Giants Program gives children a fun, active and educational experience tailored to the abilities of their age group. Our staff helps them learn how to catch without being scared of the ball, hit using modified equipment, run the bases and field grounders. Featuring structured simple activities, individual and teambuilding challenges along with small-sided competitions to develop and engage small athletes, this program is designed to get them ready to participate in our Summer Junior Giants program when they turn 5.

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
Harvest Recreation Complex
Saturday, September 19th from 9am-2pm
Designed for youth ages 11+, this interactive online course helps students become confident, capable babysitters. Learners build essential safety knowledge, childcare and emergency-response skills while caring for infants and children. The course also introduces the basics of starting and managing a babysitting business, including professionalism, responsibility and communication with families.
Created by industry-leading experts, the American Red Cross’ Babysitting Basics online course covers a wide range of information that can help new babysitters gain the skills and confidence needed to care for infants and children.

Senior Center Programs - Advanced Tai Chi
Wednesdays - September 2nd–September 30th, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Advanced Tai Chi is for students who have already completed the first form and are ready for more intensive studies in Tai Chi. This class will cover detailed technique correction, meditation techniques, two person drills, and more.

Lloyd Vance has been practicing martial arts for over 40 years and has experience in Yang Tai Chi, Guang Ping, Qi Gong, Yi Chuan, Tae Kwon Do, Kali, Silat, Kuntaw, Judo, Hapkido and Kenpo.

Happy National Dog Day!

Don't forget to register your dog today for the Napa Parks & Recreation’s first Alston Park Dog Parade on Saturday, October 3rd!

The event will include a dog costume contest, obstacle course, pet vendor booths, food trucks and lots of fun for everyone. Costume contest award categories include Best Costume Overall (Small & Large Dog), Most Creative (Small & Large Dog), and Best Pair (Dog & Owner). The event will be located at the south entrance of Alston Park at 2037 Dry Creek Road. Event will be from 9:30am-12:30pm. Check-in and day-of registration starts at 8:30am. The City of Napa requests artistic designs for our street banners in celebration of Día de los Mu***os! The City will select up to 15 designs to be vinyl-printed and showcased in downtown Napa.

Open to artists of any age, background, and medium who live in Napa or Solano counties. Digital art, paint, crayon, marker, fabric, you name it! The only requirement is that your art must be related to or inspired by Día de los Mu***os. Submissions must be received by September 20, 2026!
