The joint venture - between a healthcare provider and ambulance service - is the first of its kind in the Chicago area. Edward Ambulance Services operates 24/7 and handles non-911 requests with a goal of being at a patient's bedside in 30 minutes or less. The service also handles patient transfers from the Edward Plainfield ER 24/7 to Edward Hospital in Naperville and other areas hospitals on request, and on Edward's Naperville campus (between the Main Hospital and Linden Oaks at Edward and Edward helipad).
