E-bikes are faster and more powerful than traditional bikes, which means young riders need extra awareness and guidance.

Here’s what matters most:
-Helmet every ride—no exceptions
-Teach them to watch traffic, not just the road ahead
-Start in low-assist modes until they build confidence
-No passengers
-Only adults should handle charging and battery care

E-bikes aren’t toys, they are real vehicles.

This morning, members of the department gathered at the Firefighters Memorial statue at Firemen’s Park to honor and remember our fallen members.

Together, we reflected on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who served our community with pride and commitment. Their legacy continues to live on through the men and women who carry on the mission each day.

We will never forget their service or the impact they made on our department and community.

That little e-bike battery packs a serious punch—and it needs serious care.
Most battery incidents are preventable with a few smart choices:
⚡ Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface (not your bed or couch)
⚡ Unplug once fully charged, don’t leave it cooking all night
⚡ Only use certified chargers and batteries made for your bike
⚡ Keep it cool, heat and batteries don’t mix
⚡ If it’s cracked, leaking, or making strange smells, stop using it immediately
Think of your battery like fuel: powerful, useful, and something you never want to misuse.
Ride safe. Stay aware. Protect your home and your ride.
