This week, crews trained on coordinated fire attack. During coordinated fire attack training, firefighters emphasized that ventilation should occur only after the hose line has reached the fire. Coordinating these actions gives occupants the best chance of survival while improving the effectiveness of fire suppression. One of the primary ventilation methods is vertical ventilation, where firefighters cut an opening in the roof to allow heat, smoke, and superheated gases to escape. This improves interior conditions, increases visibility, and supports a safer and more effective fire attack.

Attention North Naperville residents: We are conducting a training exercise at 222 S. Mill Street. If you see smoke in the area, it is not a real emergency. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This past week, members of our department trained alongside our MABAS partners during a Rescue Task Force (RTF) exercise at Benet Academy. These realistic, multi-agency training scenarios strengthen the coordination between fire, EMS, and law enforcement, ensuring we can safely and effectively provide lifesaving care in high-threat incidents.

Training together builds communication, trust, and teamwork before an emergency happens. Thank you to all of our MABAS partners and Benet Academy for helping make this valuable training possible.

Over $1,000,000 donated.

What started as a simple mission to give back has grown into something truly extraordinary. Together with our sponsors, volunteers, supporters, and event participants we've been able to donate more than one million dollars to charities and families in need.

This milestone isn't just about a number it's about the lives impacted, the organizations strengthened, and the incredible community that continues to stand beside us.

To everyone who has supported Naperville Professional Firefighters for a Cause over the years:

Thank you!

We cannot wait to continue our mission and make an even greater impact together.

We couldn't have done it without you.
