Dropped off my mail-in-ballot at my local early voting site drop box!

MAKE SURE YOUR MAIL BALLOT IS COUNTED:

Your mail ballot must by postmarked by Election Day, March 17 to be counted.

The U.S. Postal Service has acknowledged that mail, including vote-by-mail ballots, can take one to three days just to be postmarked or processed. While this practice is not new, it was formally codified in December, making clear what many voters experienced in recent elections: Mail is not always postmarked the same day it’s dropped off.

That means waiting until the last minute could put your ballot at risk. Protect your vote with one of the following:

1) Drop your ballot in a secure, approved drop box.

2) Hand deliver your ballot to a USPS facility and watch the USPS clerk postmark it.

3) If using the mail, treat March 10 as your deadline to send it.

Today, I filed my petitions to run for State Representative and State Central Committeeperson!

A huge thank you to everyone who signed my petitions and to all the incredible volunteers, especially friends from Lisle Township Democratic Organization, Naperville Township Democrats, Wheatland Democrats, Dupage Township Democratic Headquarters, and Winfield Township Democratic Organization, who spent hours knocking on doors and collecting signatures. Your support makes this possible. 💙

Elections matter, especially in times like these. Every signature, every conversation, and every vote helps shape the future of our communities. I’m grateful to be on this journey with you all.

📣 I’m excited to share some big news: I’m running for 11th District Democratic State Central Committeewoman!

As someone who’s spent years organizing, listening, and working for our communities, I’m ready to bring that same energy to the Democratic Party of Illinois. I’m running to ensure our party reflects the priorities of working families, like affordable healthcare, public education, and lower costs for everyday needs.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of Kristina Zahorik State Central Committeewoman, our current Committeewoman. Her leadership has helped shape our district, and I’m grateful for her trust and support.

And to be clear: I’m still running for re-election as State Representative. I’m fully committed to continuing to serve the people of my district in Springfield while also helping build a stronger Democratic Party statewide.

I do not take your trust lightly and will continue to work on the issues that matter to all of us. From supporting our schools and being a strong fiscal steward to keeping our communities safe and protecting our most vulnerable, plus everything in between, I’m excited to continue our work in Springfield to make our state a better place for all of us to thrive.
