Choosing to be child-free is often misunderstood. It’s not about being selfish or anti-family — it’s about making an intentional life choice that aligns with your values and goals.

In our latest blog by clinician Brittany Turriff, LCPC, we break down common misconceptions like “you’ll regret it,” “you’ll change your mind,” and “it’s selfish.”

Because fulfillment looks different for everyone — and every path deserves respect.

Clinician Spotlight & Blog

Clinician Stephen is accepting new client!

Here are some special words from Stephen on his therapeutic approach and elaborated further in his Blog, Link in Bio 🔗

There are moments in life where we feel like everything is coming together, but there are also moments where we feel like everything is falling apart. I believe everyone deserves a space to feel safe and create room for healing, growth, and self-discovery. I strive to create an environment where clients feel heard and understood without judgement. I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and athletes. As a former athlete myself, I have a deeper understanding of the struggles that athletes experience, which provides a unique approach to therapy to help clients reach their therapeutic goals. With an integrative approach to therapy, I tend to focus on client strengths to assist in meaningful change and utilize humor in the healing process. I am currently accepting new clients and welcome you to this collaborative journey.

Life’s Ups and Downs ↕️

Clinician Abbi is accepting new clients!

Here are some special words from Abbi describing her approach to therapy:

“Life is full of ups and downs, and I believe therapy can be a powerful space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. I’m passionate about working with adolescents and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, relationships, and overall well-being. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop healthy coping strategies. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey where we work together to uncover strengths, foster resilience, and create meaningful change. My training through Adler University has allowed me to build a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and culturally responsive care. I am currently accepting new clients and welcome you to come just as you are.”

Clinician Amanda is accepting new clients!

Here are some special words from Amanda describing her approach in therapy.

“I believe that therapy offers the opportunity to embrace the idea of “growing through what you are going through.” I’m passionate about helping teens and adults increase motivation and empowerment. I work with my clients to help them identify their strengths, and how to use them as stepping stones on their path to healing. As a counselor, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment. I utilize a mixture of strengths-based and person-centered therapy, in a way that can best help each client in their healing.”

Picture this:
Running into two disorders that seem alike, where one diagnosis can be mistaken for another due to similarities, however mistaken because one is more mainstream than the other. With BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) being a familiar diagnosis we often forget there is more out there that can resonate better with some individuals. Join clinician Bianca Maldonado, LCPC, ASDCS, C-PD, C-DBT, in this weeks blog on looking at the correlations and differences of BPD and PTA (Post-Traumatic Amnesia).
