Congratulations to several members of our Elections Team who earned their Master Florida Certified Elections Professional (MFCEP) designation! 👏

The FCEP program, organized by the Florida Supervisors of Elections association, consists of 30 core courses that cover election law, voter registration, polling place management, as well as courses that cover topics in the areas of human resources and leadership.

The official qualifying period for candidates takes place noon on June 8 through noon on June 12, but pre-qualifying began this week! Individuals interested in running for local office can make an appointment with our qualifying officer by contacting 239-252-VOTE (8683).

Today, we solemnly honor the memory of those who have served our nation, including U.S. Air Force veteran Captain Steve Phillis, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Gulf War in 1991. His bravery and commitment to duty will forever be remembered.
