Traffic alert
Thursday morning 4/2/2026 between 8am and 10am traffic on the causeway will be down to one lane as Cianbro Corporation under contract with CMP replaces two poles on the causeway , one on 302 and one on route 114 by marina lane. Please exercise caution and patience as there will be flaggers and workers in the area

Good morning all
Just wanted to inform everyone that CMP ( Central Maine Power ) has contracted Lucas tree to trim the power lines in our area , they will be in town for the next couple weeks .please remember to give them some room , be patient as there are flaggers out there and go slow as you pass them .
Lucas Tree has been contracted by CMP not the Town of Naples

Well friends ,, it’s that time of year again , we have held off as long as I can but heavy load postings will be going up tomorrow and effective start is Thursday the 26th of February.

Morning all , here’s the latest and I guess what we are gonna make our battle plan . The onset of the storm looks to be in our area between 4 and 5pm this evening , please remember the wind will remain and also increasing as the storm ramps up. Dangerous wind chills so please limit your time outside.

With snow falling at a inch or more per hour please have patience and give the plow trucks their space

Good afternoon all ,
As most all news agencies are forecasting pretty close to the same we are looking at more than a foot of snow. The storm is seeming to start Sunday between 3 to 6 pm .
When the storm has started please give the plow trucks their space , have some patience.
The maintenance crew and the town contractor will be out and doing our best to keep everyone safe .
Please be safe if you have to be out during the storm

Maine will see its largest snowfall of the season with more than a foot of snow expected to fall in most of the state.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING
WHAT
Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations greater than 12 inches possible.
WHERE
Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and western Maine and northern New Hampshire.
WHEN
From Sunday afternoon through Monday evening.
IMPACTS
Significant snowfall and periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create very dangerous driving conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.
Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working order.

After a chance for snow squalls on Friday and brutal wind chills Saturday morning, a winter storm is expected to bring a foot of snow or more to many in Maine.

Good morning all

Let’s take a look at the weather , as we all know that there are many different forecasts coming out about Sunday into Monday storm, we can bank on the fact that they are probably right in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday temps. With that being said let’s make sure we are all ready for the temps and check on your neighbors , fill the gas tanks in your vehicles , fill the wood box , grab some extra bags of pellets.
Remember the temps they are forecasting are abnormal for us so check on your neighbors as well

Sunday afternoon/night into Monday , wow watching the different news stations can make your head hurt . So looks like we are getting between 6-22” of snow , the good about this is that the cold temps should make it very fluffy and easy to maintain. Heck you might even be able to use a leaf blower
