Over the last couple of weeks we have been swamped with cases! Hot weather has everyone acting out we guess🤷🏻. Over the last couple of days, a couple of subjects have been arrested so far after lengthy investigations…

Clinton Fields. Arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution (State Jail Felony). Bond set at $12,000.

Tommie Forte. Arrested for Stalking (Felony 3), Criminal Trespass Habitation (Misd A), and Criminal Trespass {Misd B}. Total bond set at $135,000.

We have many more open cases and numerous other arrests are anticipated in the very near future. Stay tuned!

The information released in this post will be very limited due to this still being an open investigation, and due to the victim being a child.

With that said, a couple of weeks ago the Naples Police Department launched an investigation into a report of possible sexual conduct involving a grown adult and a 14 year old child. Naples officers got to work right away, making this a top priority case. During the course of the investigation, officers obtained evidence and conducted numerous interviews.

With the evidence and information that the officers learned, Naples Police Department applied for an arrest warrant for the arrest of Jeffery Edwin Matthews, of Naples Texas, for Indecency With a Child Sexual Contact, a second degree Felony. A judge reviewed, approved, and issued a warrant for the arrest of Jeffery Matthews. On Friday, Naples officers located Matthew’s and took him into custody, booking him into the Morris County Jail. A Naples Judge set Matthew’s total bond at $100,000. As of Monday, Matthew’s was still in the Morris County Jail.

This is still an active and on going investigation. If anyone has any additional information about this case, or other cases involving Matthew’s, please contact the Naples Police Department or Morris County Sheriff Department.

On 06-25-2026, the Naples Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant signed by a District Judge, at a residence in Naples where Thomas Andy Justice resides. The Omaha Police Department and Lonestar Police Department assisted in executing the search warrant. During the search of the residence, officers located numerous different types of illegal drugs, including m**hamphetamine, and paraphernalia items consistent with drug distribution.

Our department has quite the history with Thomas Justice, as we have arrested him several prior times for m**hamphetamine possession and m**hamphetamine distribution.

On the date of the search warrant, Thomas was also found to have active warrants for his arrest out of Marion County for Felony Unlawful Restraint, and Impersonating a Private Investigator 🕵️. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morris County Jail. Thomas was charged with Man/Del Controlled Substance PG2>=4G=1G

Well…

In the late night hours of 06-11-2026, a Naples Officer was on Patrol on Highway 67 when he conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck for a defective head light. Upon making contact with the driver, the officer could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the drivers breath. The driver, Molli Puckett, admitted she had been drinking and agreed to perform field sobriety testing to ensure she was safe to drive.

At the conclusion of the testing, the officer placed Puckett under arrest for Driving while Intoxicated, after determining that she was operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway while intoxicated. After Puckett was arrested, she became verbally and physically violent. Puckett began resisting the officer, banging her head into items inside the patrol unit, licking the inside of the patrol car, attempting to escape from custody, threatening physical harm to the officer, and spitting in the officers face.

This little stunt cost Puckett the following charges… Driving While Intoxicated (Misd B), Resisting Arrest (Misd A), Terroristic Threat of Peace Officer (Felony), Escape Custody (Felony), Obstruction or Retaliation (Felony), and Harassment of Public Servant (Felony). Puckett was booked into the Morris County Jail and a Morris JP Judge set her total bond amount at $23,000. Puckett bonded out a couple days later.

A few days later, on 06-16-2026, a Naples Officer received a call from dispatch about a female subject walking down the roadway tipping over people’s trash cans. The officer made contact with the female and it was none other than miss Puckett. On this incident Puckett was also intoxicated. When the officer attempted to make contact with Puckett, she evaded the officer on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Puckett then decided to physically fight against the officer. During this incident Puckett also threatened physical harm to the officer, physically assaulted the officer, and spit on the officer. The officer placed Puckett under arrest and secured her inside his patrol unit. Puckett was transported back to the Morris County Jail where she was charged with Public Intoxication (Misd C), Resisting Arrest (Misd A), Assault on Peace Officer (Felony) Evading Arrest with Previous Convictions (Felony), Harassment of Public Servant (Felony), Terroristic Threat of Peace Officer (Felony), and Obstruction or Retaliation (Felony).

A Morris JP Judge set the total bond amount of these charges at $30,000. The previous bonds from Pucketts first arrest were revoked. As of this post Puckett remains in the Morris County Jail.

Please do not spit on our officers… it’s gross🤢 and it’s a felony.

SHOUT OUT TO K9 CHIP

Did you know that K9 Chip holds two different Narcotic Detection Certifications? These certifications are both valid for one calendar year, meaning that Chip will re- certify twice a year. On 5-26-2026, K9 Chip and his Handler attended a recertification course by National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (NNDDA). This is a federal program that checks for proficiency and drug detection ability in K9 police dogs, giving certifications and recertifications to dogs who pass the program. Chip passed recertification with a perfect score on all his trained drug odors! Chip has never failed a recertification test and has never failed on any of his trained target odors.

This cute little dog has hundreds and hundreds of logged, continuing training hours, and a drive to work that can’t be matched. Every single morning Chip is eager to load up and get to work. We are proud to have him and are very proud of the fantastic work he has been doing for our community! Chips size, personality, and performance make him impossible not to love! Well, unless you’re trying to travel through Naples with illegal drugs in your car🤷🏻👀.. . . .

There is a well known drug house on Galloway Ave in Naples that this department has been working an investigation on for the last several weeks. This house has been operating like a fast food restaurant, where subjects walk up to a window on the house, knock on the window, the window opens, and you pick up your order. Only instead of getting a happy meal, you get drugs. Good concept, not very sneaky. On Wednesday, May 13, a Naples Officer was conducting surveillance of this house when one of the residents left the house in a vehicle, and began traveling into another well known drug area.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop the officer asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. After the driver stepped out, a large bag of m**hamphetamine fell his from waist band or lap and hit the ground. Hard to argue that one. Bad luck all around. The driver, Roger King, was arrested by the officer and a probable cause vehicle search was conducted. Inside the vehicle the officer located illegally possessed Morphine.

Information obtained from this traffic stop led to Naples Officers applying for a search warrant for the residence that Roger was seen leaving. A district judge reviewed the search warrant application and then issued a search warrant for the residence. Later that same night, with the help of a few Morris County Deputies, the Naples Police Department executed a search warrant at the residence. Inside the home, officers located more m**hamphetamine, illegally possessed Xanax pills, THC products, ma*****na, various different types of prescription pills that were illegally possessed, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia that are consistent with drug distribution and sales. Inside a vehicle parked at the residence, officers located another bag containing approximately 28 grams of m**hamphetamine.

In total, officers would locate and seize nearly two ounces of m**hamphetamine. Another subject who resides at the residence, Mark Monroe, was also arrested. Two vehicles were also seized by the Naples Police Department.

At the jail, Roger was charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1>=4G

Some people just like learning the hard way🤷🏻.

You might remember our post last week about Demmarion Hunter? The guy who was on parole and tried to run from the cops and then also had drugs in his car? Well, that story has a “part two”!

Just a few days after Hunter bonded out of jail, one of our officers conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle traveling on Highway 67 for speeding. The driver turned out to be Hunter. During the course of this traffic stop, Hunter granted the officer consent to search his vehicle. During the vehicle search, the officer located an oily substance he believed to be THC. The substance was seized and Hunter was released. The following day, Naples officers tested the substance and it tested positive for THC. Officers then applied for a warrant through the Naples Judge, for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2>=1G

Multiple Arrests Made

There is no doubt the amount of drug activity and criminal activity in Naples has been dramatically decreasing. This is a direct result of proactive policing. However, our officers did end the month making a few more drug arrests.

On Wednesday, April 22, Naples officers were on patrol near the intersection of Cornett Road and Hickory Street when they observed a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway, blocking the entire street. Officers attempted to make contact with the driver, but he began driving away. Officers ordered the driver to pull over and stop, the driver told us that he was not pulling over and then sped off down Hickory, turning onto Cornett, and then pulling into a residence. The driver bailed from the vehicle and tried to enter a residence but was apprehended by officers. The driver would later admit to officers that there were illegal drugs inside his vehicle. A probable cause vehicle search was conducted, and m**hamphetamine and ma*****na was located. The driver, Demarrion Hunter, was placed under arrest for Evading Arrest With a Motor Vehicle (Felony 3), Evading Arrest On Foot (Misdemeanor A), Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1=1G

SEVERAL ARRESTED FROM NAPLES SHOOTING.

You might remember at the beginning of March we posted about a shooting that occurred at Third and Locust Street. Well, here in Naples, stuff like that isn’t going to slide. Not anymore. Here’s the facts😎.

On March 2, 2026, a call of gunshots was reported by several 911 callers. Naples officers and Morris County deputies arrived on scene but everyone had left. It was then found that one female had been shot and was being transported by friends to the Titus ER.

Naples officers split up and went to the Hospital to interview the victim and other witnesses, and other Naples officers remained in Naples and began collecting evidence from the shooting scene and reviewing security footage from nearby houses.

Through the course of this investigation, Naples officers were able to learn that several subjects involved were from Gilmer. Naples officers obtained information that led to a residential search warrant in Gilmer, which was executed by the Naples Police Department, Gilmer Police Department, and Upshur County Sheriff Department. During the search warrant, guns, drugs, and numerous cell phones were seized.

Naples officers then conducted numerous cell phone search warrants and numerous more interviews. As a result of this investigation it was found that a group from Naples and a group from Gilmer met up in Naples to fight. This fight was basically over a guy and girl breaking up and seeing new people. The male and female who broke up then began recruiting numerous people to show up and fight each other. Both groups met up to fight and then subjects from each side began shooting at each other and one female was shot and hospitalized. One vehicle was also shot.

Naples officers filed warrants on everyone who was identified as being a shooter, and on subjects who organized the fight, assaulted other people, and who tampered with evidence.

The subjects arrested from this investigation are listed in the mugshots below, along with their charges.

Let us be very clear, this kind of dangerous, reckless behavior will absolutely not be tolerated here. We are sure that these two groups of people are realizing right about now that Naples was the worst location possible to pick for getting into a shoot-out. The old days of Naples are gone. If you commit violent felony offenses here, it doesn’t matter where you go or where you hide, we are not far behind 😎. We would like to thank all the agencies who helped us in getting these subjects arrested after the warrants were filed.
