Our last open house of the summer is Monday, August 10 from 6-8pm! Come meet the birds and enjoy a relaxed “go-at-your-own-pace” experience. No fee to attend but donations are always appreciated. All ages welcome!

Please know that there are no public restrooms available on-site and please leave pets at home.

We’ll be in Jackson this Saturday with our friends at The Dahlem Environmental Education Center!

Michigan Avian Experience! Survival at its finest. Three engaging birds of prey, such as a hawk, owl, American Bald Eagle, or falcon, will visit our site to reveal their remarkable survival adaptations and behaviors. Visitors will have the opportunity to feel feathers, explore skulls, and examine other bird parts, such as feet and bones. Programs are planned and presented with the audience's age and experience in mind. 11:00 AM August 8th

COMING UP NEXT: We have 3 popular events. On Aug 1 get up close and personal with a Bald Eagle with Francie from Michigan Avian Experience. Then on Aug 8 indulge in the scent, beauty, and benefits of lavender with experts Alicia Tatham & Mark Anderson of nearby Driftwood Lavender Farm. Followed on Aug 22 by the ever popular snake encounter when Jim McGrath from Nature Discovery shares All About Michigan Snakes.

Our next open house is Sunday, July 19 from 10am-12pm! Bring your coffee, come meet the birds and enjoy an easy start to the morning. No fee to attend but donations are always appreciated.
