The Council has a staff of approximately 40-45 employees who provide a variety of services to the residents of Assumption Parish who are 60 years of age and older. The operations of this agency are funded through federal, state, and local programs. Assumption Council on Aging does not discriminate against race, color, religion, national origin, s*x, age, disability, or any other status protected b

y law or regulation. Our goal is to provide services to enhance the quality of life for low-income minorities, elderly and the disabled. The services include Outreach, Information & Assistance, Quarterly Newsletter, Transportation, Nutrition, Caregiver Support, Wellness, Material Aid, Exercise, Recreation, Homemaker, Legal Assistance, and Assessment Screening.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences this has caused but our internet and phones have been down yesterday and today. Please call the Pierre Part office at 985-252-9939 to schedule appointments for transportation or any others needs that may arise. They will contact us if needed. We are hoping to have this issued resolved as soon as possible.
