And it's not just because you wear your life jacket or because your flares aren't expired. I came to this realization because when you find someone you want to navigate life's waters with, you want the rest of your journey to start as soon as possible."

Last week, our crews headed out for an intensive round of coxswain training to redefine the skills that keep our community safe on the water. From executing drifting search patterns to running man overboard recovery drills and towing evolutions, every scenario is designed to strengthen coordination, sharpen judgment, and build confidence in high-stress situations.
Training like this ensures our boat crews remain proficient, adaptable, and ready to respond at a moment’s notice, day or night, fair weather or foul.
