Knowing how to safely yield helps emergency responders get where they need to go. If an emergency vehicle is approaching, stay alert, safely move out of its path and follow your state's laws.

🚨 When approaching a stopped emergency vehicle with flashing lights, move into a non-adjacent lane or slow down if you can't safely change lanes. Move Over laws are in all 50 states!

25 years later, we remember.

We remember the 343 firefighters who ran toward the devastation.

We remember the 60 police officers who answered the call.

We remember the 8 EMS personnel who responded to help others.

We remember the 9-1-1 dispatchers who answered the phones, dispatched units, and did their best to coordinate a response to such an unimaginable tragedy.

And we remember the thousands of civilians who never made it home.

While some never made it home, others did — but they returned with heavy hearts, traumatic memories, and, for many, lifelong illnesses.

We remember them, too.

We remember the lives lost that day.
We remember those who answered the call.
We remember those who carried the consequences long after the day was over.

25 years later, we remember.
We honor.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸

September is su***de prevention month.

In 2025, SAMHSA recorded that:
13.9 million people had serious thoughts of su***de
4.9 million people had made a su***de plan
2.3 million people attempted su***de
and 48,789 people died by su***de.
This means at least 14 million people were struggling enough to seriously consider ending their lives.

Behind these statistics are real people- the neighbor you wave to every morning, the person you pass by every day going to work, the people you love. It may even be you.

This month, and every month- remember to spread some kindness. There are resources and providers out there that will be more than willing to help you, or just be a shoulder for you to lean on when you need one.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

Sometimes, reminding someone that they matter is all it takes to help them hold on a little longer.

This Labor Day, as families and friends gather across the nation to celebrate and enjoy a holiday weekend, EMS never pauses.

Around the clock, every Clinician on shift stands ready to answer the call, providing critical, compassionate care at a moment's notice. The dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism displayed by our emergency medical workforce are the foundation of public safety in every community.

August 16th at approximately 8:16 pm, Tusten EMS was dispatched to standby for Narrowsburg Fire Department as they worked a fully involved structure fire. Mutual aided with us was Yulan Fire Department and Lake Huntington Fire Company.

No patients were involved, and the fire was quickly extinguished by the units on scene.

Thank you to all the fire departments, as well as Sullivan County, NY 911 , NYSEG and The Sullivan County Fire Investigators. There’s no us without you. 🚑🚒

Stand beside your local dispatchers!

A dispatcher who starts at 18 usually has to wait until age 63 for a full Tier 6 benefit. That is 45 years of answering people on their worst days.

With this petition, we ask New York to offer a fair 25-year choice.

Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:17 PM, Tusten EMS was dispatched to a traumatic injury along the Delaware River.
The patient was safely reached, assessed, and carefully extricated from a rocky, unstable area before being transported for further care.

We would like to thank the New York State Police, Lava/Narrowsburg Fire Department, and the Sullivan County Dispatch Center for their assistance and quick response throughout the incident. There’s truly no us without you!
