Saturday, I joined hundreds of community members for the Unity Celebration hosted by Greater Joy Baptist Church. It was a wonderful opportunity to speak and connect directly with voters.

I heard concerns about affordability, economic opportunity, government accountability, and healthcare access. My conversation with UNC Nash reinforced how staffing shortages and cuts to nursing education affect healthcare affordability and outcomes across House District 25 and Eastern North Carolina.

I am listening, and I am ready to work for solutions.

Families in HD25 and beyond are facing staggering utility bills, with some residents reporting bills higher than their rent. During the peak of summer, no family should have to choose between keeping the lights on, cooling their home, or paying for other basic needs.
