Traffic Advisory for Nash Residents

Utility crews will continue working in multiple areas across Nash as they install new gas and fiber lines. We appreciate everyone’s patience as these important infrastructure improvements are completed.

The Nash Police Department would like to draw special attention to the area near North and South Pecan, where traffic will be impacted through the end of next week. Motorists should expect delays and plan alternate routes if possible.

There will be a heavier police presence in this area to ensure the safety of both drivers and work crews. Officers will be enforcing traffic laws, including those that prohibit drivers from cutting through local business parking lots to bypass construction zones.

Please:
Slow down in work zones
Obey all traffic control devices
Follow directions from street crews and officers directing traffic

Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe.

National Police Week is a week that most officers might be stoic and professional and say they dont “need” a lot of fuss or recognition…. BUT who doesnt like snacks, pizza, and cookies?!? I mean, come on now!! Thank you Guaranty Bank, Bubba’s 33, Texarkana Emergency Center and LifeNet 🎉
The gifts of deliciousness you delivered are STILL making the days a little brighter! Maybe a little less healthy but definitely brighter.

As forecasters call for winter storms later this week, we urge our community to prepare for possible snow and ice. Winter conditions make driving very tricky! Here are some tips to help keep you safe:

Slow Down! 🚙💨 Snow and ice can make roads slippery, so reduce your speed and leave extra space between you and other vehicles.
Check Your Tires! 🚗 Make sure your tires have enough tread to handle slippery roads.
Clear Off Your Car! 🧽 Before you drive, clear snow and ice from your windshield, mirrors, and headlights for better visibility.
Keep Emergency Supplies! 🧣🧯 A blanket, flashlight, and water can come in handy if you get stuck.
Stay Updated! 📱 Always check the weather and road conditions before heading out.
Stay safe, Nash!
