Friends of the Nashua Public Library

Friends of the Nashua Public Library The Friends of NPL was formed in 2005 to support and advocate for the public library in Nashua. This costs around $7000, depending on the author's fee.

Each year we purchase about $3000 worth of museum passes--the Museum of Science and the Boston Aquarium are the most popular. We spend another $3000 on concerts and programs and about $1400 on movie licenses. We also hold an annual author event that brings the Nashua Reads author for that year to our city. We have recovered from the book sale and want to thank everyone who purchased items, donated them, volunteered, let us put up a lawn sign, or helped us advertise. We raised over $36K, which aligns to the library requests for this year. A total win! See you next March when we do it all again.

We all get by with a little help from our friends, and the city library is no exception. The Friends of Nashua Public Library help bridge the gaps in library funding to provide vital programming and services for the community – and support the library community at large.

Where are all the cool, punk kids hanging out on the coldest Friday night of the season? The Nashua Public Library, of course – roughing each other up in the basement to pounding, emotional heavy metal music.
