Wrapping up an incredible experience in Chicago as part of the Milbank Emerging Leaders Program.

It has been a true honor to learn alongside and build relationships with an inspiring group of healthcare, public health, and elected leaders from across the country. The program brought together talented professionals who are deeply committed to improving health outcomes and strengthening the communities we serve.

Over the past year, I’ve gained valuable insights, expanded my network, and developed new perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare today. I’m grateful for the friendships, mentorship, and professional growth that came from this experience.

Thank you to the Milbank team and my fellow Emerging Leaders for making this such a meaningful journey. I look forward to applying these lessons and connections to help improve the health and well-being of our communities.

When visiting the new Percy Priest Elementary, I noticed they had a American flag framed, but no Tennessee state flag. Honored to celebrate the end of school with Dr. Russell Young by presenting this school with a state flag flown over the Tennessee state capitol.

Congratulations to Ranger Steve Ward and his 30 years of state service. Radnor Lake has been well served under his leadership.🫡 👏🏻

There are people whose impact cannot be measured simply in years.

Last week, our own Park Manager Steve Ward was presented with his 30-year service award by Area 2 Manager Ryan Forbess — recognizing a lifetime dedicated to protecting Tennessee’s natural heritage and sharing it with generations of visitors.

For most of those three decades, Steve has called Radnor Lake State Natural Area home. His knowledge is unmatched. His work ethic is tireless. His devotion to this place is humbling. Quite simply, Steve lives and breathes Radnor Lake.

From protecting wildlife and leading conservation efforts to educating visitors and stewarding this special place every single day, Steve’s impact is immeasurable. Radnor Lake is what it is today because of his leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Steve and thanking him for 30 years of extraordinary service to Tennessee State Parks and the land we are all entrusted to protect. 👏👏👏

Very happy that Sen. Jeff Yarbro and I were able to pass this law this will give protections to HOA residents. In 2027, HOAs well now I have to purchase a Fidelity Bond that will protect homeowners against fraud.

Gov. Bill Lee signed new legislation designed to protect homeowners who fall victim to fraud or theft by their HOA or managing company.

PSA: Don’t speed in Belle Meade. Even the State Rep. gets a ticket.

I may be the only person to ever get pulled over on the way to a meeting at Belle Meade City Hall, but lesson learned — slow down.

The silver lining? This experience showed me just how outdated many government policies still are when it comes to traffic school. Too often, eligible drivers have to miss work and show up in court just to sign up for a defensive driving class.

That’s why the new law I passed, effective July 1, allows eligible drivers to register online first for a state-approved defensive driving course — saving people time, money, and a trip to court.

I sure would hate for this to go viral and 100K angry Tennesseans that are pi**ed about Trump's gerrymandering going on at the TN State Capitol right now and then go online and register to vote. Don't get mad, get registered, and vote them out this Nov.!
