Waste Management asks that all customers follow these guidelines to help ensure timely and safe trash collections:
• Place your trash cart with the wheels facing your house and the lid opening toward the street.
• Keep at least 3 feet of clearance on all sides of each trash cart.
• If you have two trash carts, place them at least 3 feet apart.
• Do not place any trash on top of the carts or on the ground next to them. All trash must be placed inside the cart with the lid completely closed.

NOTICE! The City of Nashville has a water leak on a 10" Main on Mt Pleasant Dr this morning. If you are experiencing low water pressure or no water on the North West side of town, this is the reason. They are working diligently to repair the leak as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Waste Management has a new trash truck and they are asking to PLEASE leave a 3 foot perimeter around trash cart. If trash cart is up against a mail box it will destory it. Also, new truck will not pick up objects around trash cart. Items need to be inside a trashbag and inside of cart. If you have any questions contact Nashville Water Office at 870-845-1440.

The City of Nashville's water department has a leak in front of York Gary. Crews are on site trying to get the repairs done as quickly as possible. You may experience low to very low water pressure around this are including but not limited to area behind the old hospital on Leslie St and areas around Sunst St and the City Park. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

City of Nashville offices will be closed on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday. Offices will reopen on Monday, April 6.

Update: Sorry for the delay! Today (Wednesday) was a great day of sunshine and melting ice! Our road grater was able to make significant progress on our city streets. Thursday we will have two road graders working on our streets. A huge thank you to Justin Jacques for that! We will be getting off the main roads and into the neighborhoods.

Waste Management will be picking up trash, both residential and commercial next week. They will be expecting extra trash and will pick up what is out.

City Hall is open normal hours.

I want to take a minute and give a big thank you to all city employees! We have all been focused on the ice since it was first forecasted. Every city employee has done their very best to prepare, and work through this ice storm to keep the city running as normal as possible.

Tip of my cap to Brent Pinkerton and the county crews for the work they have done for us all!

Lastly I want to thank all of you for your patience through this last week. I appreciate all of the text of thanks and encouragement.
