The Breakers and Marble House were both owned by the Vanderbilt family and were considered to be their summer 'cottages'.

The Breakers has 70 rooms, including the Morning Room, with walls that are coated in platinum.

The Marble House cost $11 million dollars in 1892, has 50 rooms, and was built for Alva Vanderbilt, who hosted suffragist rallies and meetings there.

The McDucks Are Still on the Move!

Executive Principal Dr. Coverson and his family recently took their McDucks on an unforgettable journey through Greece, exploring breathtaking mountain views, ancient landmarks, beautiful coastlines, and stunning sunsets along the way.

From posing at historic sites to soaking in the beauty of another corner of the world, these McDucks are certainly collecting some amazing passport stamps this summer!

Our Falcons may be taking a break from the nest, but the McDucks are proving that learning, exploring, and making memories never stop!

McDuck Summer Adventures: Ciao from Italy!

Our McDuck family is making memories across Italy with our Executive Principal, Dr. Coverson & Ms. Morton, and their families!

From exploring ancient Roman landmarks and standing beneath towering monuments to enjoying seaside views, local cafés, and family adventures, these McDucks are living their best international life. Along the way, they’ve visited historic sites and soaked in breathtaking scenery.

One thing is clear: our McDucks are proving that learning, adventure, and Falcon Pride have no borders!

We can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next as they continue their travels through Italy.

Even during summer break, the McMurray family is representing around the world, one McDuck adventure at a time!

Pinky the McDuck traded the science lab for the sandy shores of Panama City Beach this summer!

Thanks to our amazing 6th Grade Science teacher, Ms. Wingo, Pinky is soaking up the sunshine, listening to the waves, and making unforgettable summer memories along the Gulf Coast. Even on vacation, our McMurray ducks are exploring the world one adventure at a time!

Meet Ms. Falconina Fabulous!

While our Falcons are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, Ms. Falconina Fabulous has been living her best life on the West Coast with AP Battle!

This fabulous McDuck traded the hallways of McMurray for the bright lights of Hollywood and the luxury of Beverly Hills. She struck a pose on Rodeo Drive, stopped by the famous Beverly Hills sign, and even snapped a photo near Usher’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ms. Falconina Fabulous is proving that summer is the perfect time to explore, make memories, and represent McMurray wherever you go. From Las Vegas to Hollywood, she’s been waddling in style every step of the way!

McMurray Falcons Are SOARing All Summer Long!

Summer break may be here, but our students are still showing what it means to be dedicated, talented, and committed to excellence!

We are proud to have one of the largest groups represented at the Summer Band Camp at West End Middle School, with McMurray students making up the second largest group in attendance!

While many are enjoying summer vacation, these Falcons are continuing to sharpen their musical talents, build new friendships, and represent McMurray with pride. Their hard work, commitment, and passion for learning remind us that growth doesn’t stop when the school year ends.

Join us in celebrating our amazing musicians who are continuing to SOAR beyond the classroom and into the summer!

SUMMER SOAR DUCK SIGHTING ALERT

Our 7th Grade ELA teacher, Ms. Patterson, has officially kicked off the McMurray Summer Duck Adventures! And y’all… Angel the duck is already living her BEST life!

So far Angel has visited:
📍 Santa Monica Pier
📍 The Hollywood Walk of Fame
📍 The Hollywood Sign

Meanwhile the Falcons are somewhere back in Nashville wondering how the duck got a better summer vacation than all of us on the first weekend of Summer Vacation!

Even though we’re the McMurray Falcons… apparently this summer we’re SOARing with ducks!

Even though we’re the McMurray Falcons… this summer we’re traveling with ducks!

Our faculty, staff, and admin team are taking these little ducks along on their summer adventures as a fun way to keep our Falcon spirit soaring all around the world. From beaches to big cities, these ducks are ready to represent the Falcon family everywhere they go!

It may sound a little backwards… but even Falcons need a travel buddy sometimes.

Follow along all summer for duck sightings, travel pics, and Falcon fun from near and far!

Nothing like ending the school year with good food, laughter, and great people! Today our staff enjoyed an amazing last day cookout cooked by none other than our Grill Master and Executive Principal, Dr. Coverson!

From burgers and hotdogs fresh off the grill to great conversations and fellowship, today was the perfect way to close out an incredible school year together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year a success and to Dr. Coverson for keeping the grill hot and the staff fed!

McMurray truly is family, and today was another reminder of the culture, teamwork, and community that makes our school special. Enjoy your summer, Falcons… you earned it!
