As the rain pitter-patters on your window, just think....there's more rain on the way this week. Oh, how out of control my cucumber plant is going to get... 😅

Rain chances continue into the weekend and next week, with Saturday being our lowest rain chance all week. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s, with a chance to see 90 degrees on Sunday 👀

We hope you have enjoyed the dryness of the past few days, because rain and storms are expected to develop across Middle Tennessee today. It is worth mentioning that there is a low risk (level 1 out of 5) of severe storms across most of Middle Tennessee, mainly during the afternoon through early evening. Really, the only concerns today are strong wind gusts from thunderstorms, and also heavy rainfall with the bigger cells. Otherwise, we expect the rain to taper off during the evening. Most of Friday and Saturday should be dry, but rain chances will move back in by Saturday evening, with daily rain and storm chance continuing into early next week.

Good morning, weather peeps, and how is everyone on this wonderful Wednesday? We've got one more day of rain-free weather before rain and storms return to Middle Tennessee on Thursday. There is a low chance (mostly a level 1 out of 5) of severe storms Thursday, from mid afternoon into the early evening, with damaging winds and heavy rainfall being the main threats. Rain will continue into Friday but will taper off by the afternoon. Saturday looks to be splendid weatherwise.

The weather early this week is making my dreams come true, with the cool mornings and mostly sunny skies. Tomorrow will also be rain-free, albeit a little warmer. Then Thursday -- say it isn't so! -- rain and storms move back in. For the longest time we really needed the rain, but enough already. I figure most of us are to the point that we look at the end-of-week forecast and mutter, "I can't go for that (no can do)." Indeed, Middle Tennessee weather can be a maneater sometimes, but the storminess should be gone by late Friday, and Saturday's forecast is everything your heart desires.

Begin the day with a friendly voice, weather peeps. As always, I bring you the good news first. We're going to be treated to much cooler and drier weather for the next couple of days. This isn't some fly by night reprieve, either. We'll get to enjoy this through Wednesday morning. And you thought we had said a farewell to spring. There was still a little bit of it left in the end, after all. If time would stand still then we could enjoy this moment a little bit longer, but rain and storm chances will return later in the week, along with summer-like temperatures. (But maybe next weekend we'll get another break, as well.)

WEATHER UPDATE - 2 PM 6/14/26

Showers and thunderstorms are moving through Middle TN with a front this afternoon. Things should improve in our humidity situation post frontal, so we have that to look forward to! 😄 For now, some of these storms are on the stronger side (sub-severe, nothing severe right now), and producing lots of lightning and gusty winds. Be weather aware today! ☔️

Okay, weather peeps, we get to do this one more time today and then we'll get a break from both the storms and the humidity for a couple of days. We are expecting a cold front later today that will bring rain and storm chances to Middle Tennessee, but we'll also start to notice a change overnight as cooler temperatures fill in behind the front. Monday and Tuesday will be noticeably cooler and also blessedly drier. Of course, the storm chances and hotter temperatures won't stay away forever. We'll get back to those by mid to late week.
