Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District covers seven states encompassing 59,000 square miles providing collaborative water resource engineering solutions, world class public infrastructure management, and environmental stewardship for the Cumberland-Tennessee River Systems. The district operates 10 lakes, nine with hydropower units, and operates 25 campgrounds. When visiting, have fun, be safe, and wear your life jacket.

Hiring Chickamauga and Guntersville Lock Electricians

Are you an experienced electrician or mechanic looking for a rewarding federal career? The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is seeking a Lock and Dam Equipment Mechanic to maintain our vital navigation locks.

Facilities and Locations: Chickamauga Lock (Chattanooga, TN) and Guntersville Lock (Grant, AL).

Pay Range: $30.64 - $35.76 / hour.

Incentives: Recruitment/Relocation incentives (up to 25%) and Permanent Change of Station allowances may be authorized.

Duties: Maintaining and repairing electrically controlled lock gates, valves, haulage units, electrical panels, transformers, and other equipment.

Key Requirements: 1 year of equipment maintenance experience, including knowledge of 3-phase 480V electrical systems, motor controls, power distribution systems, electronic controls, and hydraulics.
