Today the Metro Public Health Department recognized those team members who reached milestones in their time of service with us. We honored team members with five, ten, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and even one employee celebrating 40 years of service with the Metro Public Health Department! We would like to congratulate everyone who was recognized and share a special word of thanks to our team for the years spent working to protect, improve and sustain the health and well-being of all people in our community.

WIC is the nation’s largest breastfeeding support program, providing education and lactation support both prenatally and throughout the postpartum period. Our WIC Outreach Team meets with new mothers in the hospital—sometimes on the very day they deliver—to offer guidance and encouragement as they begin their breastfeeding journey.
