Tennessee Board of Regents The Tennessee Board of Regents is the nation's sixth largest system of public higher education.

As the governing body of Tennessee’s largest system of public higher education in Tennessee, the Board of Regents works to ensure its colleges fulfill its vision of equipping Tennesseans with the knowledge and skills to be competitive in our economy. TBR's six state universities, 13 community colleges, and 27 technology centers offer classes in 90 of Tennessee's 95 counties.
