The VFW is one of the oldest and strongest advocates for American veteran's rights and benefits. Veterans, your membership is needed to help protect your rights and benefits; strength in numbers. VFW membership has benefits, visit the National VFW website (VFW.org) for more detailed information. Berrien County VFW Post 5978 is one of the most active units in the state. Member meetings are held on

the third (3rd) Thursday of each month at 7 pm. On Saturday nights, the post dance hall has a live band featuring live bands and a DJ. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the public is welcome.

This year marks 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001. We invite our entire community to come together as we honor the victims, first responders, and service members whose courage continues to inspire us.

All are welcome to attend and stand with us in unity and remembrance.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Berrien County VFW – Nashville has once again been named a finalist in TWO categories in the 2026 Georgia Country Awards! 🎶🤠

🏆 Country Dance Venue of the Year
🏆 Small Venue of the Year

And this means even more to us because 2026 marks the fourth consecutive year we've made the finals!

We were first nominated in 2023 — and that first year we managed to bring home the win in BOTH categories! 🏆🏆

Since then, you've continued to support us, show up for our dances, pack our dance floor, and help make the VFW what it is today.

We're not just a VFW Post. We're a place where veterans, families, country music fans, and good people from all over come together. ❤️🇺🇸

Now we'd love your help bringing those trophies back to Nashville again!
