Hermitage Precinct – Community Safety Update
Over the past few days, Hermitage officers have been working hard to keep our neighborhoods safe, responding to a variety of incidents and helping resolve issues across the community.
• Gas Theft Arrest – Officer Foote
Officers were called to a business on Donelson Pike after someone was caught on video damaging a work van and stealing fuel. Thanks to an alert employee who later spotted the suspect’s vehicle on Sandborn Drive, officers were able to identify and safely take the suspect into custody.
• DUI Arrest – Donelson Pike & Royal Parkway – Officer Valdez
An off‑duty Nashville Fire medic stepped in after noticing a potentially impaired driver. Officers arrived, confirmed the driver was intoxicated, and made an arrest for DUI and driving without a license.
• DUI Arrest – Bonnacroft Drive Area – Officer Gable
After a crash involving a parked vehicle, the driver admitted to drinking and showed signs of impairment. Following a medical check, the driver was taken into custody.
• DUI / Suspended License – I‑40 East – Officer J. Hayes
During a crash investigation, officers noticed indicators of impairment from one of the drivers. She refused testing and was found to have a suspended license. She was transported to booking.
• Open Container Citation – Bell Road Area – Officer Vallejo
While conducting extra patrols, officers made contact with a driver in a parked vehicle and located an open container. A misdemeanor citation was issued.
• Simple Possession Citation – Bell Road Area – Officer Vallejo
During the same patrol area, officers encountered a passenger who admitted to possessing ma*****na. Officers recovered the items and issued a misdemeanor citation.
• Wrong‑Way Driver / DUI Arrest – Western Hills Drive Area – Officer Varble
Officers quickly responded after reports of a wrong‑way driver. The vehicle was found after crashing into a yard and causing property damage. The driver showed clear signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
• Aggravated Assault – Hastings Road – Officer Foote
Officers responded to a tense situation involving a neighbor dispute where one individual displayed a firearm during a confrontation. Thanks to a witness and the victim’s detailed account, officers were able to safely arrest the suspect.
• Narcotics & Warrants Arrest – Officer Jacob Snyder
A traffic stop for an obscured license plate led officers to the odor of ma*****na. A search uncovered narcotics and paraphernalia, and the driver was found to have multiple outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody without incident.
