⚠️ GREENWAY CLOSURE UPDATE

Please be aware of the following current and upcoming Metro Parks greenway closures:

• Stones River Greenway: Closed at the section where the greenway enters the river.

• Richland Creek Greenway: The boardwalk from Colorado Avenue to the 51st Avenue area will close beginning October 11 for replacement. The closure is expected to last approximately 11–14 weeks.

• Whites Creek Greenway Bridge: Remains closed

Please use caution, follow posted closure signs and avoid closed areas. We appreciate your patience as we work to safely reopen these sections.

What’s on the menu at Picnic for the Parks? 🧺

Enjoy charcuterie boxes, wine, beer and sweet treats while connecting with friends and neighbors at Morgan Park. The event will also feature Germantown history with local historians and a performance by the Metro Youth Choir.

September 17 is the next STEAM night at Nashville Parthenon

Explore science, history, mythology, astronomy, art and architecture during a special evening of hands-on learning. Enjoy a Star Talk with Vanderbilt astronomer Erika Grundstrom, explore the moon and stars with Dyer Observatory, take a museum tour with an archaeologist, discover Athena and ancient Greek history, and enjoy hands-on STEAM activities, mythology puzzles and more!

5 p.m. – Star Talk with Vanderbilt astronomer Erika Grundstrom
6 p.m. – STEAM Night Museum Tour with an archaeologist

Added perk: Enjoy Centennial Park and discover the Parthenon’s architecture with the free Exterior Architecture Audio Tour, available in English, Spanish and Arabic.

A playful, welcoming theater dance class for any adult (18yrs and up) ready to move, laugh, and create together.

Whether you're brand new or returning to the stage, no experience is necessary.

Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play!

This semester will focus on dances from different genres of Musical Theater dance over the decades.

Class meets Wednesdays:
Sept 16- Dec 16 from 6:30-7:30pm
$108/semester. Scholarships available.

Location: Madison Community Center
This is an accessible space!
