The Howard County Public Library is now accepting applications for the following positions:

Nashville, AR -- Full-Time Librarian

Dierks, AR -- Part-Time Librarian

Applications may be picked up and submitted at either location.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 9, 2026.

It's the 90th anniversary of the Howard County Public Library this year!

We'll be closed on Saturday, 3/14, so we Librarians can say goodbye to a beloved friend (and boss).

The Internet and phone lines are down at the Library, due to today's weather.

All I know for sure is they aren't working!

It should be fixed soon, is all I pretty much know from previous storms.

But, you can still get a book! 🩷

Hey everyone...

I wanted to pop on here real quick and let everyone know that the Library is going to be closed today because Nicole is sick with the flu.

We'll be open tomorrow as usual, Kathy will be here.

Nicole might still be at home dying, but... at least we're not spreading any more germs than necessary this way.

My many, many apologies for this. I hate it as much as ya'll do!

Extra special gigantic huge thank you's to one of our library patrons, Ram, who went way more than the extra mile yesterday, and made a path thru the ice for our patrons on the ramp.

We appreciate you so much, and there aren't enough words in our still semi-frozen world to express that!

(Wish we had gotten a photo of him doing it. Alas... it's been crazy!!! If he's on Facebook, and you can, please tag him in this for me!)

I'm tired of having to say this, but... the Library will be closed Wednesday, January 28th, yet again, due to all the slippery stuff that isn't melting fast enough!

However, this what I expect to see when we're open again, because it'll be great to get back to work and all!
