🌎 Four countries. One stage. Countless stories.

Latino Voices brings together songwriters with Mexican, Cuban, Colombian, and Peruvian roots for a night of songwriting in the round, a format where artists take turns sharing the story behind a song, then play it live.

It's intimate. It's real. And it's a beautiful reminder of how much richness lives inside the word "Latino."

You never know you're in a movement until it's over. 🎬

The A Stands for Art is a feature-length documentary and docu-series that explores Atlanta's homegrown renaissance through intimate stories of artists, curators, and cultural organizers.

Filmed over several years, it captures a city at a crossroads: a booming population, a flourishing art scene, and the tension between cultural heritage and gentrification.

The film ties Atlanta's history of resistance, from the Civil Rights movement through the Black Lives Matter era, to the art boom happening there today, showing how creativity continues to fuel renewal.

This is a film about a city, but it's also a film about us.

We had a wonderful time on Saturday celebrating the dedication of Mariposa Park with Metro Parks and Recreation. We were especially exited to share the news that Mariposa Park will be the future home of a new Metro Arts public art installation, the first in District 33!

We’ll have more information regarding this including a call for artists and engagement opportunities for community members to share their stories and ideas to help guide the vision of this project coming soon, but for now we say thank you to everyone who helped make this such a wonderful event.

Global Education Center is proud to host a stop on the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers, a program of South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

We are screening The A Stands for Art, a documentary that follows the artists, curators, and cultural organizers who kept Atlanta's art scene growing even when the funding wasn't there.

After the film, stay for a discussion with filmmakers Tabari Sturdivant and Sade Wilkins, a panel of local artists, and a community meal.
