In March 2005, our very own MAC Head Start students had the incredible honor of welcoming Dolly Parton and then-Governor Phil Bredesen as they officially kicked off the statewide expansion of Dolly’s Imagination Library in Tennessee.

Dolly brought her beautiful spirit to the Nashville Public Library’s main downtown branch, where she spent time reading stories to our children and sharing her love of books, learning, and imagination.

These photos are a treasured reminder of the joy she brought to our students and the lasting impact of her dedication to literacy and education. We are so grateful to have been part of this special moment in her extraordinary legacy.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing in the power of a book and in the limitless potential of every child. 💜🦋

Yesterday was a powerful day at Metro Action Commission as we welcomed our partners from the Urban Institute for a deep‑dive into MAC’s impact across Nashville.

From digital infrastructure to early learning, youth programming, community outreach, and kitchen operations — our team showed what service with purpose truly looks like! 🙌✨

What a beautiful way to start the day! 🌟

As we kicked off our first full week of preschool, fathers and father figures from Frederick Douglass Head Start and our community came together to welcome our students by being their first hello! 💛

A heartfelt THANK YOU to each volunteer who showed up for our “Be the First Hello” welcome! Your smiles, high-fives, cheers, encouragement, and warm welcomes helped our students begin their day feeling seen, celebrated, supported, and loved. 🥰

You may never fully know the impact of simply being there, but your presence made a difference. You helped turn an ordinary arrival into a special moment our children could feel from the moment they walked through our doors.❤️

At our MAC Impact 2026: The Cross Training Experience this past Friday, we also had the pleasure of recognizing several amazing team members celebrating 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service at MAC! 🎉👏

This past Friday, our entire team came together for our internal conference, MAC Impact 2026: The Cross Training Experience! 🎉

Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to learn more about what each department does, participate in team-building activities, and collaborate on ideas to help improve our overall customer experience.

Understanding the role each person plays gives us an even greater appreciation for the importance of the work we do here at MAC. When we learn from one another, collaborate, and grow together, we’re able to make a bigger impact.

At MAC, we strive to empower every team member and each customer to reach their highest potential and we’re excited to see where that takes us!🚀
