Tennessee State Capitol Holiday Tours

In Nashville for the holidays? The Tennessee State Capitol has a number of beautiful Christmas trees and other decorations displayed for the season! The historic Capitol, which stands today much as it did when it first opened in 1859, welcomes visitors for free 45-minute guided tours led by the Museum’s education team.

Tours are Monday through Friday at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. (the Capitol is CLOSED December 22, 25, and 29, as well as January 1 for the holiday season. Please note: The Tennessee State Capitol is closed on weekends). For more information, visit TNMuseum.org/State-Capitol.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Tennessee State Capitol. Workers on Tuesday morning started installing this year's Christmas tree on the Capitol grounds.
