Hi from the Outdoor Nashville crew + our amazing community engagement naturalist + historical educator from Fort Negley! We went for phenomenal, but pretty wet hike at the soon to be open to the public, Lytle Bend Park! 🙌 If you would like the opportunity to check it out and get the inside scoop before the park opens, you can join us for a Learn About Lytle Bend Hike on Saturday, August 1st 9:00am-12:00pm! This will be an intermediate difficulty hike for 16 year old and up participants! Call 615-642-9745 or email [email protected] for more information and to register.

The trip will take place on the Buffalo River. We will put in near 1135 Cuba Landing Road, Waverly, TN. Exact meeting details, and itinerary information will be provided with registration.

Cost: $25, cash or Check made out to: Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation
Approximate distance: 6 miles
Previous paddling experience is required
We provide kayaks, paddles, PFDs, and guided instruction/support throughout the trip
