Our week-long onboarding program gives new employees a closer look at Driver Services, the work we do, and the important role each team member plays in serving our customers.

The program combines knowledge-based learning with an introduction to our programs, policies, processes, and customer service expectations to help employees build a strong foundation before beginning their new roles.

It’s also an opportunity to meet the people behind the work, learn from subject matter experts, ask questions, and build connections with fellow team members.

Our goal is for each employee to leave onboarding with a better understanding of Driver Services and the knowledge, resources, and connections needed to be successful.

A meeting this month brought together Tennessee Homeland Security and school safety partners to share research and strengthen proactive strategies for preventing violence in K–12 schools.

We were honored to welcome Katie Lord, Supervisory Domestic Security Strategist, with the National Threat Assessment Center, to Tennessee.

The sessions highlighted consistent student behavior patterns and the need for early intervention and support.

This work reflects a shared commitment to collaboration and quick action to keep schools safe.

Early action and teamwork continue to guide Tennessee’s approach to school safety.
