Join us Saturday, September 12 at the Rocky Mount Event Center for the Battle of the Badges!

Battle of the Badges is a community-friendly basketball tournament that brings together first responders, correctional agencies, businesses, and community organizations—all in support of the American Heart Association.

The event will offer exciting competition, family-friendly activities, vendors, and opportunities for the community to come together for an important cause.

Nash County Public Schools is proud to recognize the individuals and teams who helped make the NCBOLD Professional Learning Conference at Nash Central High School an outstanding success.

LCDR Carther F. Jorgensen led the student ambassadors.

NCDPI praised NCPS for the preparation, hospitality, logistics, and overall conference experience. Nash County also stood out as the only host site on the statewide NCBOLD tour to utilize student ambassadors, with Nash Central High School JROTC students serving as guides for visiting educators and district leaders.

Melissa Nelms, Secretary/Treasurer at Winstead Ave Elementary School, was also recognized! Mrs. Nelms went above and beyond to make sure that an order that was mistakenly delivered to her school would be delivered to the appropriate school and teacher.

We were also proud to have Bailey Elementary School students lead the Pledge of Allegiance during the recognition. 🇺🇸

🎉 NCPS continues to reach new milestones!

We are proud to share that 91% of our schools met or exceeded growth, while the percentage of schools earning a C or higher reached the highest level in district history.

This progress reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, staff, families, and school communities.
