To apply, you may pick up an application during normal business hours at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, located at 55 State Road 46 East, Nashville, Indiana 47448, or online at https://browncounty-in.gov/246/Careers.

You may drop off completed applications during normal business hours or mail them to P.O. Box 95, Nashville, Indiana 47448.

As we recognize National Police Week, we are proud to honor the dedicated deputies who serve our community each and every day. Their commitment, professionalism, and sacrifice help keep our county safe.

On this final day of National Police Week, we are proud to recognize and feature our Reserve Deputies who volunteer their time to assist the department with parade details, funeral details, fair week, special events, and many other duties throughout the year. Their dedication and willingness to serve our community is greatly appreciated and plays an important role in supporting the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

Our Reserve Deputies are Keith Baker, Andrea Baker, Cecil Martin, Bob Zetty, Thom Miller, Dean Keefauver, Bernie McGaha, Bill Hamilton, Monty LeClaire, and Dave Redding.

As we recognize National Police Week, we are proud to honor the dedicated deputies who serve our community each and every day. Their commitment, professionalism, and sacrifice help keep our county safe.

Today, we are proud to feature four of our outstanding deputies, Deputy Ethan Morrison, Deputy Jacob Lamping, Deputy Spencer McKinney, and Deputy Jeffrey Dames.

Deputy Ethan Morrison has nearly 4 years of law enforcement experience, all with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Morrison began his law enforcement career as a Jail Officer, where he spent 2 of those years before becoming a Deputy. Throughout his career, Deputy Morrison has demonstrated dedication and professionalism while serving the citizens of Brown County.

Deputy Jacob Lamping has nearly 6 years of law enforcement experience. At the beginning of his law enforcement career, Deputy Lamping worked for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as the Assistant Corporal of Courts and Transports in the Jail Division. Deputy Lamping has recently started his new career with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and is currently attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

Deputy Spencer McKinney has just started his law enforcement career with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, where he is already doing a great job while serving the community.

Deputy Jeffrey Dames has nearly 4 years of law enforcement experience, all with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Dames continues to demonstrate dedication and commitment while proudly serving the citizens of Brown County.

As we recognize National Police Week, we are proud to honor the dedicated deputies who serve our community each and every day. Their commitment, professionalism, and sacrifice help keep our county safe.

Today, we are proud to feature three of our outstanding deputies, Deputy Greg Duke, Deputy Jarred Day, and Deputy Trevor Johnson.

Deputy Greg Duke has been with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for 7 years. Deputy Duke began his law enforcement career with the Indiana University Police Department before being hired by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office and later the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Jarred Day began his law enforcement career nearly 2 years ago with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office as a Jail Officer. Deputy Day has recently been hired as a Deputy and continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to serving the community.

Deputy Trevor Johnson has 7 years of law enforcement experience. Deputy Johnson began his law enforcement career as a Jail Officer with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and was later hired as a Field Officer for Johnson County Community Corrections – Juvenile Division. Deputy Johnson has nearly 2 years of service with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and continues to serve the community with professionalism and dedication.

We thank Deputy Duke, Deputy Day, and Deputy Johnson for their dedication and continued service to Brown County.

As we recognize National Police Week, we are proud to honor the dedicated deputies who serve our community each and every day. Their commitment, professionalism, and sacrifice help keep our county safe.

Today, we are proud to feature two of our outstanding deputies, Corporal Cody Loncaric and Deputy Kyle Minor, as well as K9 Knox.

Corporal Cody Loncaric has a total of 8 years of law enforcement experience. Corporal Loncaric began his law enforcement career as a Jail Officer with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office before being hired by the Bloomfield Police Department. Corporal Loncaric has been with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 3 years and continues to demonstrate dedication and professionalism while serving the citizens of Brown County. Corporal Loncaric is also the handler for K9 Knox.

Deputy Kyle Minor has 8 years of law enforcement experience, all with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Minor currently serves as the School Resource Officer for the Brown County School Corporation, where he works closely with students, staff, and the community to help provide a safe learning environment.

Today, we are proud to feature three of our outstanding deputies, Sergeant Heath Young, Sergeant Oliver Hitz, and Detective Sergeant Josh Stargell.

Sergeant Heath Young has 4 years of law enforcement experience. Sergeant Young began his law enforcement career with the Nashville Police Department before being hired by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Since joining our department, Sergeant Young has demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to serving the citizens of Brown County.

Sergeant Oliver Hitz has been with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for 5 years, where he began his law enforcement career. Throughout his time with the department, Sergeant Hitz has shown dedication and commitment while proudly serving the community of Brown County.

Detective Sergeant Josh Stargell has 14 years of law enforcement experience. Sergeant Stargell began his law enforcement career as a Reserve Deputy with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office before being hired by the Nashville Police Department. Sergeant Stargell later returned to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, where he has proudly served for the last 11 years. As Detective Sergeant, he continues to demonstrate dedication and professionalism while serving the citizens of Brown County.

We thank Sergeant Young, Sergeant Hitz, and Detective Sergeant Stargell for their dedication, leadership, and continued service to Brown County.
