Yesterday, Nash County EMS had the distinct privilege and honor of providing EMS coverage for the Vice President of the United States during his visit to Rocky Mount, NC.

We are proud to serve the citizens of Nash County and grateful for the trust placed in our agency to support events of this magnitude in our community. 🚑 🇺🇸

Yesterday was one for the history books!

On February 25th, 422 people in Nash County learned Hands-Only CPR in just ONE day.

When combined with our partner counties across North Carolina, a total of 19,739 people were trained in a single day!

That makes this achievement:

1️⃣ The most people ever trained in CPR in a single day in the United States
2️⃣ The largest coordinated CPR training effort across multiple sites anywhere in the world

This wasn’t just about breaking records.
This was about building a community ready to ACT when seconds matter.

Every person trained is now someone who can step in, start compressions, and help save a life from sudden cardiac arrest.

We are incredibly proud of Nash County for showing up and doing your part. 💙

Thank you to everyone who participated, hosted sites, and helped make this possible. Together, we are strengthening the chain of survival.
