The Nassau Town Board holds their regular monthly meeting tonight at 7pm. The meeting with be preceded by a continuation of a public hearing on a residential private solar array for a single property use. Meetings are always open to the public.

Road closure update from the Supervisor:

Storm Update: 6:50pm 7/29/26

Nassau Highway has closed Malden Bridge Road between 165 and 56 Sheldon's Farm and Jefferson Hill Road. There is in excess of 9" of water flowing over the road.

At this time, this is the only Nassau road remaining closed. However, please note that several roads still have water flows which may increase as water levels rise overnight. Please exercise caution.

The Town of Nassau remains under a State of Emergency due to this storm. Please avoid unnecessary travel in the dark as this is especially dangerous.

My thanks to our emergency services partners and Nassau Highway for an incredible day of service to our residents and their support during difficult conditions.

Nassau Supervisor David Fleming has declared a local emergency due to the impacts of significant and further expected flooding. A Rensselaer County Emergency Order is also in effect.

Residents are prohibited from parking on any Town roadway and are requested to restrict their travel as much as is possible.

A State of Emergency has been declared in Rensselaer County and residents are urged to avoid non-essential travel due to flood conditions throughout the county.
