Civics 101 - are you interested in learning about the election process, electoral college, the over 200 political parties in the United States, how to register to vote and how to spot misinformation in the news.

We will be hosting a Civics class on Friday, September 18th at 5:30 pm at the library. If you are interested please contact the library to register.

National Voter Registration Day is September 15, 2026. Don't forget to sign up so that you will be able to vote in the upcoming elections. https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/

In addition, the library is offering a Civics 101 class to teach new voters what to expect on election day, how to complete a ballot, how to view candidates and issues in a non-partisan way in order to make the best decisions, how to locate party platforms, learn about the multi-party system and how to discern misinformation that hits us daily on social media and in the community.

This class is also ideal for high school/homeschool students that want to learn about the election process.
