We would like to extend a huge thank you to Edwin H. Kleckner, Inc., while on stand by yesterday the dropped us off some case of energy drinks for our crew members.

And yes, we know we are a day late, but we’d like to wish all active and past Natalie firefighters a happy international firefighters day. We could never do what we do without your dedication and sacrifice.

A very busy morning for the volunteers of Natalie. While preparing for our annual fish fry, we were alerted to an afa in the township, a crew of 6 stood by as Chief 24 investigated. Nothing was found and the box was put in service. After this we replace both batteries on our engine, this was needed in order to keep our engine running properly as one was starting to slowly fail. Both of these batteries were purchased by our fire company. Like most companies around the area, we are responsible for maintaining and fixing our apparatus with our own funds. This is why it’s important, when you’re able, to support your local fire company’s!

In order to help us provide the best coverage to our township and beyond, we have to upgrade our aging equipment. Tonight we placed in service a new MultiRAE gas meter. This tool will allow us to identify harmful gases, and more. We went with this meter, as other compaines in the township run simialr models. This allows for interoperability township wide. We would like to thank the Township Relief association for the help in purchasing the equipment.

Things like this meter and other lifesaving equipment is why local fire companies have to fundraise. So when you see a company fundraising, and are able to, please support them!
