In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Mark from Southeast Missouri, who shares a terrifying and unforgettable encounter from the Mark Twain National Forest. During deer season, Mark and his friends organized a deer drive, hoping to push game toward the hunters. But instead of deer, Mark found himself staring at a massive Sasquatch — over 8 feet tall, with a chest four feet wide and coal-black eyes that pierced the brush. The creature’s power was unbelievable — crashing through the honeysuckles like a bulldozer. After the encounter, Mark became violently ill for days, while his friend — who also saw the creature — developed PTSD. Both men claim their memories were affected after the experience. Mark’s story doesn’t end there. His family’s cabin near Cherryville, Missouri was surrounded by strange activity — from screams along Huzzah Creek to a small, dark creature running upright on two legs. Later encounters near Lake Wappapello involved rock throwing, whistling, and bent metal hog poles — all signs of something powerful and territorial in the area. He’s also witnessed mysterious orbs of light, rock clacks near creeks, and has heard of skinwalker sightings tied to stolen arrowheads. Mark and his daughters even claim to have seen a chupacabra-like creature.
