Congratulations to Abbay Graves for being chosen as the April Employee of The Month. Her nomination cited hard work ethic that included always maintaining a 10-8 unit, showing true concern for her patients, and being a strong EMT that is always right in the middle of patient care with her partner. Abbay is also recognized for her efforts to further her education by taking the Paramedic course while continuing to remain focused on her job and patients.

Please help us congratulate Abbay on her achievements.

Other nominees for the April Employee of the Month were Erin Dickens and Roderick Frye. Help us congratulate them for being recognized and nominated by their peers for jobs well done.

Nominations for March Employee of the Month included: Walter Mackel, James Woods, Lonnie Ferrell, Haley Godbold, Wes Weathers, and Emma Lilly. It is a sign of a strong program when you have this many team members nominated for the EOM and we would like to congratulate all of those nominated. Your strong work ethic and dedication to our patients sets you apart and earned you the respect of your peers.

Emma Lilly was selected as the Employee of the Month for March. She was nominated for her constant positive attitude. Known for her smile when she arrives and throughout the shift, Emma has displayed professional work ethic and performance.

In addition to the Employee of the Month, Emma was also selected as the Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter. Her nomination, included below, was written by FTO Darlene Hawkins.

Emma has shown commitment and dedication in the pursuit of her continued education. She spent many hours studying and attending class to obtain her EMT-Basic certification and immediately began Advanced EMT training all while working her shifts on the ambulance. She is always willing to accept any training to make herself a better provider and arrives with a smile on her face. This type of dedication is the foundation of our team's success. Congratulations, Emma Lilly!

Help us congratulate Emma on her job WELL DONE.

Crew Appreciation Day for AMR and AE99 was a success. Plenty of full bellies, visiting, and games being won. From air vs ground to EMS and Fire vs EMA to Air BD vs Ground OM, we gave everyone a chance to display their skills (or lack of) on the boards. LOL.

To cook and watch people socialize in a relaxed atmosphere, break bread with friends that do not get to visit often, and (without exception) heckle the competitors was just the perfect way to spend the day.

Special thanks go out to Dr. LaRavia and Mrs. Sharon, EMA Director Bradford, and Natchez Fire Chief Arrington for attending and participating. Special thanks also go out to all of those providing the boards, helping with the cooking, and helping with the clean-up.

To our air and ground crews in attendance, Janie and I would like to thank you for participating. To those working, we hope you liked the food and hope to see you during EMS Week festivities. We appreciate all you do for those we serve and truly hope you realize you are the BEST of the BEST.

Thanks to those that remembered to take pictures and send them. There were more in attendance than pictured here and we would love to have pictures to add if you can/will send them.

WE ARE AMR. WE ARE AIR EVAC. WE ARE GMR.

The below is from Erin Dickens, AEMT from our SWMS Location. THIS is the difference in a company and a TEAM. Individual acts and then, acknowledgment of efforts. To have good team members is the difference and fits in perfectly why we say, WE ARE AMR.

Excellent job Randal McKenzie and Wesley Weathers. Your efforts are appreciated and meant the world to your team member and this operation.

Wednesday night, I was scheduled for a shift in Liberty / Amite County at 8:00 pm. On the way there I didn't realize the bad thunderstorm I had been driving through on Liberty Rd and Hwy 33 was actually the aftermath of a tornado. I was stuck behind three back to back fallen trees on Hwy 33 around the Gloster area. I would like to recognize two wonderful people tonight. 1. Randall McKenzie for calling me and forewarning me there was a tornado warning in my location and staying in constant contact with me to ensure that I made it to the Liberty Station safely.
2. Wes Weathers for answering my SOS call at 7:55 pm at his house and grabbing his chainsaw and driving to my location to help cut up and move trees out of the roadway in the pouring rain/tornado weather for over 2 hours. He stayed with me until the road was cleared up enough by MDOT and Southwest EPA to drive through so I wouldn't be sitting alone on the back roads in the dark/ bad weather. Wes deserves employee of the month, employee of the quarter, employee of the year, employee of the decade, employee of the century. Tonight was really rough and I was 2.5 hours late for work, but Wes really saved the day/night and was a really awesome helping hand. Randall was really awesome for maintaining constant contact with me to ensure my safety. I’m very grateful knowing that we have such kind hearted employees and supervisors at AMR that go out of their way to show how much they care for their coworkers and willing to come to the rescue during after hours in a literal tornado.

Joseph Ashcraft was selected as our 2025 Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd Quarter. His commitment to service in the Adams County market is second to none. He works tirelessly to support his peers and is quite frequently found covering shifts so that others can take off or be with family. As an FTO, Jody teaches AHA classes to our staff and to our partnering agencies with Fire, LEO, and Search and Rescue. Please help us thank Jody for his excellence in service to our communities.

Great job Jody! We are proud to have you on our team!
