Two of our departments in the county are in need of assistance. Liberty Road VFD and Lake Montrose VFD are needing refrigerators. Both departments units have gone out. If you or someone you know of would like to donate or contribute in the purchasing of these items please contact Chief Billie Humphries, Chief James Young or Chief Donald Johnson. All donations can made through the Adams County Volunteer Fire Association.

Volunteer firefighters in Mississippi are overcoming obstacles to provide essential emergency services, despite limited resources.

Yesterday evening Foster Mound, Lake Montrose, Liberty Road, & Kingston VFD’s responded to a mutal aid request from Natchez FD with 3 engines and personnel with the fire at Live Oak Nursery.

BURN BAN EXTENDED UNTIL DECEMBER 15 WITH APPROVAL FROM STATE FORESTRY & APPROVED BY ADAMS COUNTY BOARD of SUPERVISORS.

We are on no burn ban I ask that you do burn anything it can get out of control because it's to dry right now.

Just a thought. If you have your bunker gear with you, bring them inside with you. That way if you paged out you can put them on before you head out and they will not freezing cold.
